He Weighed 845 Pounds and Bathed in a Trough. You Won’t Believe What He Looks Like Now

Posted on March 6, 2026 by admin

Casey first captured public attention in 2018 when he appeared on the TLC series Family By the Ton, weighing in at a staggering 845 pounds. At the time, the 40-year-old was living with his father, unemployed, and spending his days playing video games and overeating.

His daily routine left little room for hope, and his physical condition had deteriorated to the point where he could no longer use a traditional bathroom — instead, he was forced to bathe in an outdoor trough.

After being asked to leave his mother’s house due to his inability to hold a job, Casey realized he had hit rock bottom. His increasing weight and isolation made it clear that something drastic had to change.

That change came in the form of a vertical sleeve gastrectomy, a weight-loss surgery that marked the turning point in his life. Following the procedure, Casey lost an initial 70 pounds. But more impressively, through a complete overhaul of his lifestyle and daily habits, he continued to shed weight—ultimately losing a total of 600 pounds.

By 2023, Casey’s weight had dropped to 245 pounds. In a heartfelt update on the Truly series Brand New Me, he opened up about his transformation, both physically and emotionally. His story not only inspired thousands but also served as a reminder that real change is possible—even when the odds seem overwhelming.

A Life-Changing Journey Begins
Casey, an American man, initially lost 200 pounds with the help of the show. But his journey didn’t stop there. Determined to keep going, he faced a new set of challenges that few people consider when picturing such a dramatic weight loss.

The Unexpected Side Effects of Massive Weight Loss
After reaching his weight-loss goal, Casey was stunned by what he saw in the mirror. The dramatic drop in weight had left him with excess skin and deep wrinkles that made him look much older. It was a harsh contrast to how he imagined he would feel after achieving such success.

Still, Casey remained proud of how far he’d come. Instead of feeling discouraged, he set his next goal: undergoing surgery to remove the excess skin so he could fully embrace his new life.
